“Paul Lavertu, 23, youth leader, Gateway Baptist Church, Loveland, CO, abused a developmentally disabled church member and member of youth group during church functions. Lavertu pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault on a child and unlawful sexual contact. In 2007, he was sentenced to 35 days jail which he had already served and 15 yrs. probation with sex offender treatment.

A lawsuit was filed against Gateway Baptist Church, Loveland and 3 pastors, pastors cited 3 church leaders for failing to report alleged abuse.
