Preacher of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Bennettsville, SC in the mid 1980s until 1987 when he left after being accused of criminal sexual conduct involving a boy under the age of 17. Convicted of third-degree sex charges.

In 1982, he was charged of simple assault and battery.
